GETTING THE PERFECT TAN!

Okay, so summer is HERE and for most of us that means: tanning time!

It’s time to trade in our pants for shorts and sun dresses and get rid of our pasty complexion for a sun-kissed glow! Unfortunately, for those that are very pale (like me) this can be a challenge! Most of the time I end up getting a burn more than a tan… That’s why I have listed out the following tips so that you can get the best results possible with the least amount of damage!

1. LATHER UP, LADIES!

Sensitive skin that gets directly effected first are areas such as: your nose, cheeks and shoulders.

A tip is to use a higher spf on these areas so that you avoid being burnt to a crisp. It may seem extreme, but with my light complexion I typically use spf 40 or 50. For those that have a darker complexion using a 20 or 30 is adequate.

don’t forget to reapply each hour, if you’re in the water!

2. OILS

Using sun tan oil has been used for ages. But, nowadays, there are so many chemicals used that soak into your skin which aren’t the best for you!

I recommend that you opt for coconut oil! Not only does it draw the Suns rays to your skin, your skin stays hydrated and moisturized! Plus, it smells amazing!

3. JUST FACE IT

Ensure that you are facing the sun, that way the Rays come down evenly and give a proper tan. This is how you can avoid getting a tanner upper body vs your lower body.
Bonus Tip: keep an even rotate between back to front, each time waiting 30 minutes to flip!
