Rejuvenate Your Skin With These 4 Homemade Face Masks

Summer is just around the corner! Make sure you are taking the time to pamper your skin during these steamy months – always use sunscreen for protection and make sure you give your face some summer loving by using a face mask at least once a week to rejuvenate and re-moisturize your sun kissed epidermis.

This yummy face recipe is so tempting you might just start licking the bowl after you apply it to your face! Its full of antibiotic properties due to the honey and yogurt! Strawberries contain salicylic acid (which is great for acne-prone skin), while the lemon juice removes old, dead skin cells and helps to tighten pores.

1/4 cup mashed strawberries

2 tbsp of lemon juice

1 table spoon of greek yogurt

1 tbsp on honey

Mash all of the ingredients together, but do not puree in a blender: you want this to be spreadable, not a liquid. Apply evenly all over your face and let sit 8-10 minutes. Wipe off with a warm, damp facecloth and then rinse with cool water. Pat dry.

This naturally exfoliating mask is great for unclogging pores! Strip away makeup, sweat, dirt .. anything that can seep into your epidermis and unbalance your skin.

4 Tbsp canned pumpkin

3 Tbsp apple cider vinegar

1 ½ Tbsp rose water

Vinegar acts as a natural makeup remover, while pumpkin contains enzymes that break down the toxins in your pores. Rosewater helps to maintain your skin’s pH balance.

The antioxidant properties of rose water help to strengthen skin cells along with regenerating skin tissues

Mix all of the ingredients together in a small bowl. Apply to your face and leave on for 15 to 20 minutes. Rinse off with warm water before cleansing your face.

2 tbsp pure honey

1 tsp cinnamon

1 wedge of fresh lemon juice

Zap those zits with this zesty treat for your face! The honey locks moisture inside your skin and also has properties that protects skin against damage from the sun and the environment. Lemon exfoliates the affected area while reducing the color of dark spot and scarring. And top it off with a dash of cinnamon which reduces inflammation, redness, and works to kill acne by drying out the affected area.

Now thats one fine cup of tea!

Vitamin E has amazing healing properties so your skin instantly gets a burst of rejuvenation. Heavy cream contains lactate, which is wonderful for mild exfoliation while honey is an excellent hydrator!

1 vitamin E capsule

1 Tbsp honey

2 Tbsp heavy cream

Drain the contents of the vitamin E capsule into a small bowl. Add the honey and heavy cream and mix together until a smooth consistency forms. Apply the mixture to your face and leave on for 15 to 20 minutes. Rinse off with warm water.
